Advisory Council Launches Strategic Planning Process
BlackFemaleProject Advisory Council had its second meeting on June 11, 2019 and launched our organization's strategic planning process. In April, the Council convened for the first time, gathering women from across the country to express their excitement and commitment to BlackFemaleProject’s growth and expansion.
We are pleased to share the following:
Since that first meeting members have begun making their financial and in-kind contributions. Advisor Freda Statom and Founder, Precious J. Stroud, met with members to support them in making commitments to support the organization in ways that align with their personal goals.
During the June meeting, strategic planning committee co-chairs, Charmaine Mercer and Nicole Norfles, launched a 6-month strategic planning process .
We are in ongoing conversation about BlackFemaleProject continuing to be a healing and joy-filled space for everyone involved. Our intentional program design makes this possible. The beauty of our work is that it is alive. We are living BlackFemaleProject, and thus we are experts at planning and evaluating the Project’s next steps.
Big vision and exciting announcements are sure to come. Stay tuned!
Special thanks to Debrah Giles and the East Bay Community Foundation for hosting us.
