This is a BlackFemaleProject Conversation for Black-identifying women who have white mothers to discuss strategies for navigating racism and sexism in the workplace.
The BlackFemaleProject Conversation Series began as a monthly series in March of 2015 in Oakland, California. The Series prioritizes creating an emotionally safe space where women talk openly about workplace experiences and other topics related to the BlackFemaleProject.
About BlackFemaleProject Conversation Series:
During these Conversations, women remove their guards and join an authentic dialogue about the joys, triumphs, frustration, pains, and micro-aggressions they face on a daily basis. This is a sacred space where Black women can be vulnerable, open to discovery, emotional healing, recovery, and expand self-confidence. Some women have shared that, “I have never been so comfortable and seen such openness with a newly formed group of people” — Attendee April 2015 Conversation Series
