One Year Celebration Thank You and Photos
Special thanks to everyone who attended the BlackFemaleProject One Year Celebration on January 24, 2016. We had a great time sharing a meal with nearly 70 attendees!
An evening reflection and celebration, Project Contributors and Supporters gathered at Kingston 11 Cuisine in Oakland, CA. We transformed the space into a place of healing for Black girls and women, their families and friends. We learned about the BlackFemaleProject, heard directly from women who participated in the Project, and networked with artists, researchers, corporate and nonprofit professionals.
If you were not able to make it and would like to make a contribution to support the BlackFemaleProject Conversation Series, make a donation online today. Contributions are not tax deductible.
Thanks to our courageous panelists: Che Abram, Kira L. Allen, Ericka Duke, Dania W. Frink, Fern Stroud, and Liz Williams, and inspiring facilitator, Dr. Tameka McGlawn, for making the BlackFemaleProject One Year Celebration a memorable experience.
