Back from vacation and ready to hit the ground running!
We are returning after a short summer break and have some exciting developments to share for fall 2016! First, I am Precious Stroud and I founded the #BlackFemaleProject as part of my healing process. You can read more about that here.
Between me, a handful of volunteers and an AWESOME group of supporters we have been able to launch this community. In less than two years we grew from a Call for Submissions on my website to a national network from California to New York with shout outs from towns and cities like Little Rock, Birmingham, Jacksonville, Atlanta, and Bakersfield.
Keep an eye out, I'll be sharing more about my journey in creating the project in the coming months.
We do not have much funding, we rely on donations from individuals and I have made a substantial contribution because I believe that if we tell our stories the girls coming behind us will have a documented record of how we moved from surviving to thriving.
