Loving You

FEBRUARY 2019

Loving You

We have a small gift that we share with guests at our events, accompanied by the following statement: “If you need to see power and beauty, turn this over…” Upon turning it over, the recipient finds a mirror and her own reflection. Responses are always positive and sometimes emotional.

We want to support you in seeing yourself clearly. Making the shift from existing to living requires true self-love that endures through the ups and downs and feelings of doubt. You are not everything your think; you are so much more!

60 Days of Self-Discovery

On February 1, we kicked off a 60-day self-discovery challenge on the BlackFemaleProject blog. Join us by following the blog as well as our Instagram and Twitter to get tips and encouragement on keeping your 'vibe right' and making positive strides toward reaching your 2019 goals.

In Case You Missed It

In case you missed it the first time around, check out the story that started it all: our fearless founder Precious J. Stroud’s personal story, The Bar for Excellence.

If you haven't visited the podcast in a while, you may have missed “Prioritizing Wellness: Black Women Putting Themselves First,” Che Abram is in conversation with attendees of the first annual Black Women’s Wellness Retreat, created and hosted by Dr. Cathia Walters-Knight. The women share what they experienced at the retreat, explain why it was so powerful, and reflect on the positive impact they’ve seen in their lives as a result of prioritizing self-care despite the many demands on their time and money.

YOUR SUPPORT!

Do you have airline miles that you could donate? We want to take our podcast on the road to collect stories and hear from women in Atlanta, Washington, D.C., and Los Angeles to start! Please consider donating airline miles to BlackFemaleProject. Contact jasmine@blackfemaleproject.org for more information.

Does our work inspire you? Help you to heal? Make you feel less isolated? Aid you in processing situations or discrimination you or your loved ones have experienced? We hope so, as these are the reasons we do this work! And if it does have any or all of these positive impacts, we hope you’ll consider donating to this volunteer-run effort in order to help the stories of our sisters resound.
