Basking in Black Joy

Thank you for joining us at Black Vines and Black Joy Parade
We had a great time last weekend at the 11th Annual Black Vines and 5th Annual Black Joy Parade!
As a nonprofit partner of Black Vines, we designed multiple experiences to connect guests with Teacher Truth, our project focused on uplifting and centering Black educators. We hosted two special presentation conversations and wine tastings with educator-turned-winemaker, Ericka Blount, and debuted our new event activation, the Truth Booth, which invites community members to add their voices to our growing story collection.
At Black Joy Parade we curated a space that shared powerful quotes from our story collection and also celebrated Black educators. Thanks to all the Black educators who stopped by to say hello and helped us spread the word by sending other Black educators our way!
Black educators and Teacher Truth interviewees Abram Jackson and Julius Crowe-Hampton (pictured above) stopped by our Black Joy Parade booth Sunday. They’re posed in front of a selection of powerful quotes from their own testimonies, as well as those of other Teacher Truth contributors.
We loved connecting with you in the spirit of Black joy and look forward to continuing to nurture our thriving Black community together.

Stay tuned to our calendar for upcoming events
