My name is Kia Walton, I was born in Los Angeles, CA. I grew up in Richmond, CA with my mom, sister, grandmother and grandfather from 1993-2008. I attended Mira Vista Elementary School and Adams' Middle School in Richmond, CA, and graduated from El Cerrito High School, in El Cerrito, CA. I graduated from Columbia University with a B.A. in Women's and Gender Studies in 2008.

Read MoreAbram Jackson was born in Tucson, Arizona, however, was raised in the east bay of the San Francisco Bay Area. Abram studied managerial econ at UC Davis for undergrad and realized that his passion was more in the realm of ethnic studies. Abram has an MA in Ethnic Studies from San Francisco State University and a MAT from the University of Southern California in social science education. The Bay School of San Francisco is where Abram currently teaches. He is a humanities instructor, in addition to the 11th-grade class dean. Abram also teaches adjunct at SFSU in their Race and Resistance Studies Department.
